New Year’s Eve Outfit Inspiration

2019 is just days away which means it’s time to bring out the sequins, flashy and fun outfits for bringing in the new year! This year’s New Year’s Eve OOTD is my favorite one yet!

When I think about 2018, I think about confidence and accomplishments. I think of learning that I am a true girl boss and putting my mind to anything I set it to. This totally describes this outfit. Years ago, you wouldn’t have found me in a crop top, short skirt, or bold jacket. This was a look I always said: “I can never wear that”. This year was about making the dreams. My dream was to be confident enough to wear an outfit like this and this look was created from an impossible to a possible.

New Year’s Eve is about closing one chapter and starting a new one. There is something about sequins and bold patterns that bring a confidence to any look. New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to wear that bold look because it will set the tone to your new year.

My leopard printed fuzzy jacket and a-line faux leather skirt are both from Charlotte Russe. The jacket feels exactly like a blanket! It is my favorite clothing item in my closet! The minute I tried it on, I started singing The Cheetah Girls. Click here to see my reaction in the dressing room! Charlotte Russe has been one of my favorite stores of 2018. It wasn’t until late spring that I realize Charolette Russe has plus size clothing! I highly recommend shopping there if you are looking for a fun outfit to wear for New Year’s Eve!

The minute I found the jacket, I knew that I wanted to style it with the black faux leather skirt from Charlotte Russe. This is such a versatile skirt for any wardrobe!

Sequins Galore! My navy blue sequin top is from Forever 21. This top was on sale for 30% off when I purchased it and now it’s 50% OFF! I knew I wanted to be able to wear a cropped top with this look; when I saw this top in the store, I knew I had to have it for NYE! This top is the extra sparkle I needed to complete my outfit.

I styled simple and minimal black strapy heels for completing the look. These shoes are from Shoe Carnival!

Fun Fact: If you have a Shoe Carnival near you and you love a pair of shoes, but need another buckle hole, take them up to the counter and ask the associates and they will make as many holes as needed for your shoes to fit comfortably!

I hope this outfit gave you the inspiration you needed to pick out your last outfit of 2018!

Until the next blog!
