We all know that January is a trial month, so what are habits that you are doing in 2025 that you love to do or want to do? Well, I have 10 habits I have been doing throughout 2024 and they have been LIFE changing and helped me be 100% more productive than I’ve ever been! So, here’s some habits that have become my favorite things to do!
3 Things Rule

3 Things Rule is simple, but the most effective thing I feel I have done to increase my productivity. I have been reading a ton of different productivity books on my Kindle recently, and they have helped me understand that it’s okay to do a couple of things and still feel productive. It’s okay if I only get to three things today as long as it’s priority things. That’s why I feel as though my day needs to be complete. The three things can vary from editing a vlog to doing a homework assignment to even just making the bed. As long as you do 3 things that are important to you, you were productive for that day. Now, you can do more than this, and oftentimes I do, but it’s important to know (and I need to take this advice too), that even if you did one thing, it’s enough!
Girl Boss Hour

Girl. Boss. Hour. If you’ve heard me talk about this on my Instagram, you already know I am HOOKED on a girl boss hour. A girl boss hour is the quintessential hustle of a girl boss in a time crunch. Put on a time for an hour and see how much you get done, but not just productivity-wise, but for your FUTURE. This is where the dreams and goals that you have, you hustle for an hour and PLAN THAT DREAM. Plan the steps, break down the goals, and hustle. You can dream all day, but without the girl boss hour, the dream won’t come true. In The Princess in the Frog, one of my favorite movies of all time, Tiana’s dad says when she wishes on the star, “That old star can only take you part of the way.” It’s true. The girl boss hours do work and regardless if you do 1 hour or 3 hours, making time for your goals and your work is important.
Write It Down So It Comes True

I’m a firm believer in writing EVERYTHING down. Whether it’s on a note on my phone or in a physical notebook, writing things down has helped me remember the things I need to do and the goals and accomplishments that I have done. A long time ago, I wrote in a Vera Bradley notebook a list of small businesses I wanted to open. From owning a bridal shop to having an event planning company, to even creating wreaths and selling them on the side of the road with my dad, I wrote it all down. The notebook is one I often look back at and remember when I started writing down my dreams and what I wanted to do. Number 8 out of 23 was a Blogger. 23 was a YouTuber. I guess I’m kind of close right? This is proof that writing something down can allow you to look back at how far you’ve come. Just write it down, and it may come true.
Daily To List
This is my favorite thing to do daily! I track every day all the things I need to get done for the day. As I complete something, I erase it or mark it complete. I am addicted to writing lists. I have a to-do list written all the way out for February 13th. I take my to-do lists very seriously! I don’t want to forget the details, so this helps me stay in order and stick to the plan. Even if things don’t work out, I take what I didn’t accomplish that day, and move it to the next day.
I have a list below that I use to keep track of my days like this one – January 26th – consumed with writing my paper and very minimal things ended up getting done, but for the most part, I felt like I did something that day and I felt good about it!

Create Your Master To-Do List
We all have that running to-do list that is not our daily list, but the list that we will get to when we get to it. That’s my Master To-Dos! I have a LONG, long list of things that I want to get to when I get to them, but I don’t want to forget that those are things I want to do. For example, creating workshop presentations on social media such as batching filming hacks or how to film short-form content, creating webinars, and creating a template for invoices and proposals – all things I’m not ready to do yet, but on the list just in case your girl feels a burst of energy and inspiration.
Make Your Bed
I recently got a new bed from Big Fig (you’ll see the post on Instagram soon). Ever since getting this bed, making my bed is my new favorite thing. Getting cute throw pillows, cozy blankets, and pretty bow sheets have been my obsession. I take bedtime very seriously now. I used to never want to be in my bed, now I don’t want to ever wake up in the morning! Anyway – making my bed is my new obsession because it’s the first thing I do AND that means it’s the first thing on the to-do list DONE. Instantly if I don’t do anything else, I’ve done this one little thing that has made me happy.
Leave The House Feeling Put Together

Now this is a topic and habit I am still working on – leaving the house put together. It is hard out there y’all, but trust me when I say, there is no greater feeling than putting on your makeup, and jewelry – necklaces, earrings, and all, and styling a cute look that makes you feel put together! For example, this outfit above is one of my go-to looks right now. Denim pants, Nike Air Forces, a cute top, and a jacket or a sweater. Grab a cute purse and your accessories and immediately you’ll feel put together. Even if you’re walking out of the house with a cute lounge set. Grab a purse and some earrings and it’ll feel more put together. AGAIN, I’m still working on this, but my goal is to keep trying this and making it a full habit. So far, doing great!
Timers & Intervals
I am currently writing this blog in timers and 30-minute intervals! For me to get the project, paper, blog, video edited, or tasks done at work, I put on timers (throughout girl boss hour specifically) and try to get as many things or projects done as possible. This has been so effective when I need to clean my space, write a paper, or even create my Instagram content. Using a timer can help you stay focused and make the things you want to do happen.
Positive Self Talk
Can you believe I’ve regressed in this topic? Lately, sometimes I am completely too hard on myself. I get disappointed when I don’t accomplish something that I wanted to accomplish in time due to my procrastination or have to rush because I am running behind or am late. I tend to call myself a few names that I shouldn’t. I have to remind myself that it’s okay and that I am not perfect, but I am trying. I am the type of girl who wants to do it all, but I have to start to realize that I am not able to do everything. A habit I am bringing into this year is to be kinder to myself and give myself GRACE. So, learn from my mistakes and be kind to yourself. You are doing your best and it’s all we can do!
Accomplishments Small & Big Celebrated
I love that I put this one right after my rant on my lack of positive self-talk, but this is how wild my life is – I NEED this reminder. Celebrating the small accomplishments is just as great as celebrating the big ones. I put a photo below of me accomplishing something that was on my bucket list, ice skating! I loved the experience this past December and it was such a small accomplishment to do, but it was one worth celebrating and being happy for!

I hope this blog gave you a couple of habits to incorporate into your 2025! I hope you all have the brightest most exciting year! I feel that 2025 is our year! I’ll see you in the next blog! (Arrgh you ready?)
