Boca Grande – Weekend Getaway & Vacation Style

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am traveling to Las Vegas and what better way to celebrate than posting my most recent trip to Boca Grande with my best friend Sarah for a weekend getaway! We stayed for 3 days, so I have 3 outfits to share with you that are perfect to spice up your summer vacay style! These outfits are sure to make you want to grab a weekend bag and go to the beach!

Candy Striped Romper

My first outfit on Day 1 was a very casual romper from Forever 21. I love this romper because it matched the theme of the little town. Boca Grande is a very small part of Gasparilla Island, so to embrace the retro colors of the buildings, I figured why not wear this adorable candy striped romper!

For me personally, I like the stripes going vertical since I am a pear shape. The romper is a comfortable light material, so if you are in the heat, AKA Florida, then this is the perfect outfit for you. This day we rented a Golf Cart and drove for hours! This is the perfect outfit for going on an adventure with your bestie.

I paired the outfit with some white flip flops from Charlotte Russe and a cute floppy hat from Bealls – a summertime essential!

Blue and White Stripes

My next outfit on Day 2 was by far my favorite outfit! Sarah and I went to the Loose Caboose where I had one of the best Cuban Sandwiches ever! This was mostly a shopping a sightseeing day, so we really were enjoying and embracing the town. I decided to mix match patterns with the same colors. I paired a striped blue and white crop top from Forever 21 and blue and white striped smocked shorts from Torrid. Both striped pieces are not the same identical stripes and that is what I love about the whole outfit!

This outfit is super beachy and perfect for the hot summer days in Florida. The smocked shorts from Torrid are very comfortable and breathable, perfect for if you are doing a lot of walking and sightseeing.

The blue and white striped crop top is the perfect addition to the outfit. The bow and buttons in the middle of the top give it a nautical vibe perfect for a beach getaway vacation!

For shoes, I went with my brown wedges from Bealls to tie the hat into the whole outfits.

For accessories, I kept it simple with my bracelets from Alex and Ani, and Lillian and Co. The icing on top of the whole outfit is a floppy hat from Tilly’s that says “Beach Please”! I am in love with this hat. It is my favorite floppy hat I own. This helped tie the whole nautical themed outfit together!

Anchor Away

To end our weekend getaway where the water was crystal blue and the weather was perfect, I decided to bring out my inner sailor and wear all anchors. This is a style I love separately, but together, I think they make for a very cute tourist outfit.

I purchased this whole outfit from Bealls. I paired the cold shoulder, white anchor top with my navy blue anchor skirt. This skirt is perfect for traveling because it is the perfect length and super comfortable. Check your local Bealls to see if you can find a similar skirt! During the summer, these skirts and shirts are very popular and pop up in most stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross for less!

I totally recommend traveling in your own state and pretending to be a tourist. Or, go out and seek adventure this summer! Look out for travel life hacks and packing advice coming soon! It’s fun to go on adventures, and like the movie Up, “the adventure is out there”.

I have been posting a ton on YouTube lately, so if you would like to check out my most recent video, click here to see my Mickey Mouse and Target Collection and more!
