Ugly sweaters are one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season! I love creating a new one every year and styling it! This year on Vlogmas, I decided to create a ugly sweater that isn’t so ugly!

This sweater was one from in my closet! This is where I find all my ugly sweater sweaters! Especially if I was going to Poshmark it, now it’s the cutest sweater! This one is from Charlotte Russe! It’s the perfect sweater for crafting because it’s super soft and lightweight!

I thought of the idea of creating a “lights” themed ugly sweater for months – ever since the summer time! I wanted to create something with the flat back light bulbs I got from Hobby Lobby back in the summer. Yes, I already was thinking of Christmas!

I knew I wanted to create a “loop” look with the black yarn, but I didn’t have any idea I would be spelling “merry and bright” with the black yarn. That was the most difficult part of the whole DIY! You can check out my Vlogmas here to watch me do this DIY!

I added the light bulbs to the sweater with hot glue and secured the festiveness! I love the way the sweater turned out! If I saw this in the stores, I would totally buy it! This is easy to recreate with only a few supplies needed.

I styled my sweater with another DIY, my pearl headband! This is a DIY I did in the summer time that was perfect for my look. I wore my white flowy skirt from Torrid to give all the Christmas vibes!

Have you ever made a cozy ugly sweater and it’s actually cute?! Let me know in the comments! If you try this out with a sweater you don’t want at home, I highly recommend it to spice up your wardrobe!
I’ll see you all for Cheymas Day 22!
