One of my favorite things to do for the holidays is try out treats and snacks to have a mini Halloween party! Today I made Mini Pizza Mummy’s! They were so much fun to make and super cute!
Here’s what you’ll need: One bag of dough (store bought), sliced black olives, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese block
The first step I like to do is cute the mozzarella cheese into strips. This will be used later on when we are assembling our pizzas.
I took the store-bought though and rolled it up into little balls. This dough gave me such a hard time because it was super sticky so I suggest maybe using flour to help. I didn’t even think about it!
Before assembling the pizzas, I flattened each Pizza ball into a small mini circle. The thicker the dog the longer it will take for it to cook! I found that out the hard way! I stuck the flattened circles into the oven for about 2 to 3 minutes to harden just a bit at 400°.
Once I took them out of the oven I started assembling my mummies. First I added the pizza sauce and swirled it around the circle. Then I started styling the sliced mozzarella on top. I wanted it to look as if it was an actual mummy! So, I layered the cheese in crisscross motion and stack them on top of each other to give it the layered effect.
I added the sliced black olives right on top of the cheese so you can see the eyes of the mummy. I baked the pizza in the oven for 12 minutes at 400°. I wanted my pizzas super doughy and not burnt like last year so I decided this was my redemption year.
These mummies turned out super cute and I loved them! You can try making different shapes for any holiday! Let me know if you try this I want to see the photos!
