Must Be the Season of the Witch | Chey-O-Ween Starts Tomorrow!

Attention to all spooky loving witches, it’s that time of year I’ve personally been waiting for since October 2021 – CHEY-O-WEEN! If this is your first time reading my blogs, welcome to the spooky witch committee! I am glad to have you on the team!

Every October since the pandemic, I’ve done Chey-O-Ween, it’s 31 days of consecutive content from October 1st all the way to October 31st in honor of my favorite time of year – Fall, Halloween, and to celebrate my birthday month! My Birthday is October 19th and my way of celebrating is to spend it all with you! For the next 31 days, you will be immersed in all things spooky, fall, pumpkin, diys and more!

Since this is my third year doing this, I wanted to take a quick trip down memory lane and share my last two photo shoots for Chey-O-Ween. They’ve always involved some type of smoke which is always super fun to do! Everything happens in my backyard and it’s always a full production.

My first year, I decided to dress like a which in normal clothes, which totally works! I remember purchasing the lace asymmetrical dress from Torrid and falling in love with it! It was on the clearance rack and I knew I had to bring it home. It was about $15 when they had a massive dress sale. In 2020, I knew I wanted to start Chey-O-Ween and make it a regular thing. At that time it was an idea and I didn’t know what I was doing. I just wanted to celebrate and have fun doing what I loved to do which was blogging and sharing fall blogs.

I remember going to the firework store and finding the smoke to use for the photo shoot. I was so nervous to use them as I never used them before. I ended up loving the way it looked and said the following year I would do it again.

Last year, in 2021 I did a Witches Brew theme with a big cauldron and dry ice. I did go all out for this one, so it was hard to hop this year, but I had so much fun adding the dry ice to the cauldron and watching it melt! It is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen and it’s just ice! I loved having the cauldron in the background of the photos like “something is brewing” which was Chey-O-Ween.

This year, I had a dream come true moment. Remember the first photo where I wore the torrid dress? Well, I remember that year I said “one day I’ll have torrid sponsor a chey-o-ween look”.  That day is tomorrow. It’s such a full circle moment and something I am so proud of. I love this series with all my heart and it’s so exciting to see how in two years with hardwork and dedication. I sit here typing and crying! I am so proud of this series and I cannot wait for you to see what is in store for this spooky season.

Starting tomorrow, I will be sharing with you all content everyday leading up to Halloween! I hope you all stick around, because it’s about to be one spooky season!

What type of blogs are you looking forward to this Chey-O-Ween season?

See you tomorrow for the first blog of the Halloween season!
